Jen Devon writes vivid, cinematic romances about imperfect people finding their perfect match. She picked up her first hand-me-down romance novel as a pre-teen in the 1990’s, soon spending hours at her small hometown library, checking out stacks of historicals as big as she could balance between her chin and her hands. Eventually, she resorted to thievery to fund her habit, stealing her parents’ books to sell at the used bookstore for in-store credit, to buy secondhand McNaught, Garwood, Henley, and Deveraux paperbacks. Now, she primarily reads contemporaries, but many of those old favorites still live on her shelves.

Her debut BEND TOWARD THE SUN (formerly CLOUD TIDE) will be published by St. Martin’s Press in Spring/Summer 2022. It placed first in the 2020 Mid-America Romance Authors’ Fiction from the Heartland contest, was a second-place contemporary finalist in the Windy City RWA’s 2020 Four Seasons Contest, and placed first in its category in the Missouri RWA’s 2020 Gateway to the Best Contest.
